Philharmonic Hall, at the junction of Hope Street and Myrtle Street, is the second building of that name on this site, the first having burned down in 1933.

Its replacement, designed by Herbert Rowse, was completed in 1939, and provides some of the best facilities and acoustics of any concert hall in Europe.

It's the home of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
