This track marks the line of the railways which ran both from Brymbo to the main Chester - Shrewsbury line at Croesnewydd Junction, Wrexham and the Moss Valley Line which ran up the (you've guessed it) Moss Valley.
Both lines were closed to passenger traffic in 1931. The Brymbo line continued in use for freight traffic to the steelworks until 1982, and the track was pulled up some years later.
