The view to the north-east from the top of Penygraig Hill. It can only give you a hint of the spectacular views to be had from up here.

Bod Idris is in the foreground, with the village school that red-brick building beyond it. In the deep distance lies the city of Chester.

Another view north-eastward from the top of Penygraig Hill, this time after I'd figured out the 'zoom' controls on my camera.

The roof on the lower right belongs to our village pharmacy. The white buildings in the middle distance are the Llay Industrial Estate, and beyond that is the Cheshire Plain. The Mid-Cheshire Ridge marks the horizon.

Now we're looking east from the top of Penygraig Hill. Parts of the bottom part of the village are visible, with the former village Post Office that free-standing building right in front of us on High Street.

On the opposite ridge is Brynmalley Park, Pentre Broughton, watched over by the Wrexham-Rhos television and radio transmitter.

Here's the Cheshire Plain on a snowy afternoon in early March 2006.

The 'pillars of cloud' on the horizon at centre left are not evidence of god's vengeance on Runcorn (although that might not come amiss), but are from the cooling towers of Ince power station.
