Godsmack - "Voodoo"
In order to stop the site healing up while I'm revamping it - a
process which is taking far longer than expected, due largely to
another 'project' I've got on the go - I'd better post something here.
(Sidenote: going through the past nine years of posts, I've become
aware that even more YouTube videos that I've linked to or embedded
have since been pulled. I'll review everything before the revamp goes
live).
I heard this track for the first time last night, but I can't
possibly disclose to you the context in which I heard it; it'd give far
too much away about my life.
(Intruiguing, huh?)
(If that's how you spell 'intruiguing', of course) (*)
This band I know from nothing, except from what's on Wikipedia
about them. Seems that Godsmack is an American metal band, and that
this track was the closer on their eponymous debut album of 1998. Their
lead singer and main songwriter Sully Erna is a wiccan and it shows in
this video, although it looks like a very American take on European
Gothic symbolism; at times it looks like a Siouxie And The Banshees fan
convention.
Nonetheless, it's an insistent and persistent little number which
may well become an earworm with you, as it has with me (why should I
suffer alone?).
Warning! The video features highly-visible tits.
They're easy to spot; they're the guys wearing the white loincloths
while impersonating Uncle Fester from The Addams Family.
Update: It isn't, as I discovered when proof-reading the entire site eight-and-a-half years later.
