Quiet, Isn't It?
Still here, in case anyone was wondering. Or, indeed, bothered.
The distance between posts can be accounted for by two things:
- firstly, having neglected my moderator's duties at 45cat while The Revamp™ was in progress, I thought it politic to knuckle down to some heavy work on that side of things; and
- secondly, the things going on out there at the moment are of a nature which would render any comment from me superfluous, and not just because others can express it better than I can. Words, as it were, fail me - quite literally - when I see not only what those with power and influence are doing - killing, imprisoning their opponents and any dissenters and screwing the poor, the disabled and the otherwise marginalised because they can (and this is just in the 'civilised' world) - but when I see that they are, by and large, getting away with it because of the apathy engendered by the total failure of bourgeois democracy and the soothing lies and distractions hurled out by the corporate media who are 'embedded' within those structures.
Perhaps something will happen so cataclysmic that even I might be roused from my current torpor. If so, stay tuned. In any case, I'm closing in on the one-thousandth post on this site, so I might hold back a bit to make sure that it's a good 'un.
