A Step Ahead
I'm posting my latest health update here rather than in the Rants section as things have calmed down a bit now (as have I, at least to some degree).
First appointment with the cardiologist this morning. Nice man, obviously knew what he was about. The upshot of it is that the following steps are in prospect:
- Yet another blood test
- Dependent upon the result of that, my medication may need to be changed again
- Also dependent upon that, then I'll have to go all the way to Manchester for an MRI scan
- Dependent upon that, they may - just may - be able to correct the problem with the pulmonic valve by shoving one of those balloon thingies in there via my groin. Failing that, then it looks like good, old-fashioned knife-and-fork surgery will be needed
So, while I'm no further forward in hard, practical terms from earlier this morning (and returning to work remains a distant prospect at best), a path is opening up towards a solution. Waiting is...
