One More Step
And just to round off the week (at least, I hope there's nothing more after this), when I got on the bus to come home this afternoon, the lunk behind the wheel set off with a lurch while I was trying to negotiate the step halfway down the cabin, leading to my crashing to the floor.
The two old biddies who were on the bus with me gave the impression from their expressions that they thought I was drunk, and the driver didn't bother to stop to ask how I was until about a quarter of a mile and four stops later.
The only thing broken was a fingernail, fortunately, but I now have one of those annoying nagging aches in my right shoulder, which should further enhance my chances of a decent night's sleep tonight.
