An Open Letter...
For all the theorising from self-appointed egg-heads (remember that term, fellow oldsters?); for all the hand-wringing from uncomprehending liberals; for all the snarling and cavalier inhumanity from the rulers as they casually imprison people - with or without benefit of trial - for disproportionate lengths of time "to make an example" or "to send a message"; for all this, there is no substitute for the power of anger which comes from someone who is, in some ways, actually living the sort of curtailed, limiting life which can lead to what we have so recently seen.
