Adam Ant - "Goody Two Shoes" (1982)
Trying to cheer myself up whilst stuck at home with a particularly nasty head cold (yes, my friend the Snot Fairy has taken up residence again), I suddenly remembered this classic from the early eighties.
My chum Alex was heavily into Adam & The Ants in 1980 and beyond, and I once wrote a parody lyric for Stand And Deliver for him as a parting gift before we went off in opposite directions to university.
I didn't quite 'get' it at the time, but looking back I can see that Adam was a class act; stylish, driving and satirical. And (although I may be giving away a bit too much here) I have to say looking back at this that he was a very attractive guy indeed.
