It may have been the New Yorker magazine which invented the wonderfully subtle category of people thus described (both an accolade and a put down at the same time), but it may apply to me for a brief moment.
Following a comment I made at Open Democracy's Our Kingdom website a couple of days ago (appended to this article by John Osmond), Mr Osmond contacted me to ask for my agreement for the comment - which raised the case of Jamie Bevan - to be published as an article on the website of the prestigious Institute of Welsh Affairs, of which he is the Director.
The alacrity with which I agreed was truly shameless, and so you can see the article (mutatis mutandis) at the IWA's website now.
