Search Me!
I've finally managed to do something I've been trying to get done for some time.
The site has grown to such an extent that a 'Search' function has become necessary so that You, The Reader can find things more easily. And so that I can find things more easily, for that matter.
After a lot of looking at the various options, I found instructions on how to incorporate a search facility using my search engine of choice, namely DuckDuckGo (it doesn't track you, unlike some we could mention).
Once I had the code for it, I had to do a hell of a lot of tweaking to get it looking as I wanted it and to get it in the right place. It's still not quite as I would wish it (the alignment on smaller viewport sizes goes a bit wonky), but it works.
Because of the way DuckDuckGo works (and their various licensing agreements), the search will not bring up the actual page on this site; rather, it opens a new window with the search results in DuckDuckGo itself. But then all you have to do is click on the links to bring you back here to the page you wanted.
