If you read only one piece on the current situation in Catalunya; the background of Catalan attempts to play by the rules constantly thwarted by the insufferable arrogance of Franco's heirs and successors in Madrid; and the facility of so-called 'progressive' commentators in lazily lumping in an inclusive, non-racial movement for self-determination with the purveyors of incipient or actually-existing fascism like UKIP and Fidesz; then may I recommend most warmly Professor Thomas S.
